Plant sizing on your real consumption

We analyse your consumption, size solar PV and storage and review installer quotes, with nothing to sell you. Sizing and quote comparison are free.

What we do

From your consumption to the right plant

Feasibility, sizing and administrative procedures to start correctly and in a structured way. Every choice starts from your data.

  • Bill analysis

Read consumption, spending and distribution over time to identify areas for improvement.

  • Load curves

With your meter’s hourly data we see when you consume, not just how much: the basis of any serious sizing.

  • Solar PV feasibility

Available area, orientation, tilt and shading: we work out whether a plant fits, and how big.

  • Battery optimisation

Assess storage strategies to increase self-consumption and improve your energy balance.

  • Simulate scenarios before deciding

Discover what would change by installing a battery, joining an energy community (REC — Renewable Energy Community) or changing your habits. Simulations show the estimated economic impact and the expected energy benefit.

  • Return on investment

Costs, bill savings, energy fed into the grid and incentives: we estimate how long the plant takes to pay for itself.

Paperwork and GSE: grid connection, incentives and filings with the GSE (Italy’s energy services operator) are handled by our legal team.

Quote comparison and review

Received one or more quotes? Send them to us: we review them line by line, on the same basis, and tell you whether they fit your consumption. You pay nothing.

What we check

  • Power

Do the proposed kWp fit your consumption, roof area and meter power?

  • Components

Modules, inverter and any battery: make, model, datasheets and compatibility.

  • Warranties

Length and cover of product and performance warranties, and who really backs them.

  • Price in €/kWp

The cost per kWp, to compare offers of different sizes on the same basis.

  • Expected output

Is the annual output estimate realistic for the location, orientation and tilt?

  • Clauses

Timing, payments, penalties and what is included: paperwork, grid connection, maintenance, disposal.

Guide

How to size a solar PV plant

The method we use, in five steps. No magic formula: your data, read in the right order.

  1. Annual consumption and hourly profile

You start from consumption, not from the roof. The last twelve months of bills give you annual kWh and the split by time band; the meter’s hourly data, which you can request from the distributor, show your load profile: how much energy you use during the day, in the evening and at weekends. Two users with the same annual consumption may need very different plants, because when you consume matters. Without this step, any sizing remains a catalogue estimate.

  2. Expected self-consumption

Solar PV produces during the day, peaking around midday and in the summer months. Overlaying the estimated output for your area on your consumption profile gives the expected self-consumption: the share of energy produced that you use directly. It is the most valuable part, because it reduces the energy you buy from the grid. Surplus energy is fed into the grid and paid at different, usually less favourable, terms.

  3. Peak power

A plant’s power is measured in kWp, the peak kilowatts delivered under standard test conditions. You choose it by comparing several sizes: as kWp rise, output grows, but the self-consumed share grows less and less. The right size balances self-consumption, energy fed into the grid and cost, within the limits of roof area, orientation, shading and meter power. A bigger plant is not automatically a better deal.

  4. Storage: yes or no, and what size

A battery shifts energy produced but not used during the day to the evening. It pays off when evening consumption is significant and the daytime surplus is steady; otherwise it risks sitting underused. Its capacity, in kWh, is estimated from the energy left over each day and what you need after sunset, allowing for cycles and degradation over time. Sometimes the best choice is to make the plant battery-ready and decide later, with real data.

  5. Financial check

Finally, the numbers come together: the cost of the plant and any battery, bill savings from self-consumption, the value of energy fed into the grid, applicable incentives or tax deductions, maintenance and inverter replacement. The result is the payback time and the benefit over the plant’s lifetime. We compare several scenarios on the same assumptions, so you choose knowing what you are buying and can check whether the quotes you received add up.

Who it’s for

For those who produce, consume or decide for others

  • SMEs

A plant sized on the load curve of your premises and on your work shifts, with payback time calculated on your energy costs.

  • Condominiums and households

You know how many kWp and which battery you really need, and whether the quote in your hands adds up. For condominiums we also assess collective self-consumption.

  • Public bodies

An independent technical assessment of public buildings and consumption, useful for setting up projects, tenders and energy communities.

Process

Start in three steps

Data, study, report. Every step is tracked and supported by our team.

  1. Send us your data

Bills, meter data, roof details and any quotes. We tell you what we need.

  2. We study your case

We analyse consumption and load curves, simulate several plant and storage sizes and review quotes line by line.

  3. Report and free sizing

You get the recommended sizing, with expected output and estimated payback, and discuss it with the engineer.

Frequently asked questions

Sizing, quotes and savings: the short answers.

No, it’s not required. We start from your consumption: if you don’t have a plant yet, we tell you whether it pays off to install one and what size; if you do, we check how it performs and whether adding a battery makes sense.
